G4S DWP UPDATE

GMB MEMBERS RETURN 65% VOTE IN FAVOUR OF THE G4S DWP 2022/23 PAY OFFER

Thank You for Your Support: A Message from Your GMB National Representatives

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our members for their participation in the recent ballot.

We are pleased to announce that the outcome was a 65% vote in favour of the offer, with an impressive turnout of over 91% of members casting their votes.

While we recognise that the offer wasn’t perfect and affected members differently across the country, this positive result marks the conclusion of this chapter of negotiations.

Throughout the dispute, your activism, energy, and passion have been nothing short of inspiring. We’ve seen incredible growth in membership, as well as a surge in those stepping up to represent GMB at their workplaces.

This ballot has demonstrated the collective strength of our members, who have shown their commitment to pursuing better pay and working conditions—a remarkable and unprecedented step in both this employer and industry.

Although this is a significant milestone, there is still much work to be done to continue improving pay and conditions. Our attention will now turn to increasing pressure on the DWP and preparing for the 2024 pay talks.

Once again, thank you for your patience and dedication throughout the dispute. We look forward to continuing to represent you all in the months ahead.
